• Between 1975 and 1979, the Khmer Rouge regime was responsible for the deaths of an estimated 1.7 million Cambodians. Through community dialogue and grassroots activism, ASRIC is dedicated to bringing justice and healing to survivors of the regime and their children.
• ASRIC is a victim’s association registered in the US and is presently working with the Extraordinary Chambers in the Courts of Cambodia (ECCC), commonly referred to as the Khmer Rouge Tribunal.
• Since 2008, ASRIC has worked closely and collaboratively with Cambodian survivors in the diaspora, particularly in the United States and is responsible for filing the largest number of civil parties to the ECCC.
• In addition to its work with the tribunal, ASRIC hosts community workshops and arts programming for victims and their family members.
• ASRIC actively partners with community organizations, colleges, and universities across the United States.
